Comedian Chris Distefano told Fox News Digital That he has not seen the American pride on such a large scale since the aftermath of the terror attacks on 9/11.

The comedian noted that, although the country is clearly still divided between political lines, he believes that people are “exhausted” because of the constant political struggle and maybe be ready to start uniting as Americans.

“I think our country, honestly, personally, I know it is very divided, but I think – and it can be because of exhaustion, if you think the other way – I think we will make a joint effort to come together a little more.

Distefano pointed out that the resistance to President Donald Trump’s The second term does not seem to have the same zeal as during his first.

“I mean, you look at this Trump presidency, the very early stages of it versus the last Trump presidency … I mean, people tried to get as much as possible to get everything they could remove him, people who shouted on the street,” Distefano noted.

He further explained that resistance to Trump seems to have lost the steam it once had.

“The first three months of his presidency have been normal, yes, there are problems and people try it, but there is no real big one like, unrest, because I think people are, okay, let’s just, like … this is tiring to do it differently. So why we don’t just try to do it …

Distefano continued by noticing that Amerosive Has returned in a way that he has not seen for more than 20 years.

“There is more American pride in our country than I remember. I have not felt … American pride like this since, like, to be honest, like 9/11. Like afterwards. Like after that there was so much American pride, everyone came together. And now I feel it again, of which I think it’s good.”

He clarified that American pride does not mean that American citizens have the feeling that they are better than citizens of another country, but that they are proud of who they are. He added that citizens of other countries should feel the same.

“I understand that America is only lines on a map like any other country, but there is something proud of a nation that is just better for everyone. It’s better for us. I am not saying that America is the only be-all-all, everything is finally. I say it’s good to be proud of what you are going, you know to be proud of it, no, to be proud, To be American, and we work together, “said Distefano.

As a comedian, Distefano is of the opinion that it is not his task to tell people who they should and should not vote for, but to name it as he sees and to fool both parties when it is justified.

“For me, comedians, I think we call it as it is, and perception is reality. I am in the middle, I am Chrissy Gray zone, I am America first. I always have been, that will always be,” Distefano said. “You know, it’s like I voted is like, you know, for me, it’s like a comedian, I feel like number one, that’s not why I am here. That is not why I am in public interest is to choose a side. I am here to say:” This is what I think the funny things are about both sides. “

He continued by noting that, although he was on both sides when it fits, one side of the political aisle has called for the Anti-American sentiment throughout the country.

“What I will say is that perception has become certain in the last two years, call it – and I am not smart enough to know why – that The Democrats His anti-American and the Republicans are Pro-American. That is what it was certain, “Distefano claimed.” What I saw is that Democrats said, you know, “America is, we have all these problems, and you should be anti-American, and, oh my God;” Where Republicans say, “Yes, we have those problems, but you should be pro-American.” “

The comedian also touched what he thinks Trump’s comments about acquiring Greenland And Canada may be the 51st state.

“I think even Trump’s efforts, such as, who knows whether the executive orders will pass, who knows if we are buying Greenland or Canada will be the 51st? Who knows, anyway? It can just be wild things he says. But I think you are an American dominance again to restore an American dominance.”

He concluded the subject by pointing to the American flag as a symbol of the changing sentiment of our nation.

“I remember that after 9/11, if you didn’t have an American flag outside your house, I would be people of: ‘What are you, a terrorist? What are you, with them? ‘Then it became if you had an American flag outside your house, 20 years later people would say:’ What are you, a terrorist? What are you, with them? “” Distefano said. “And so it changed. And now I feel that it is not necessarily that it goes back, I just feel that it will neutralize where people will say, “Hey, I am proud of being in America.” “
