Liberal comedian Chelsea Trade In First Lady Melania Trump, jokes wiped that she is a sex worker and focused on other hot-button problems during her comments on the Critics Choice Awards Friday.
“It was a huge year for Biopics … ‘Anora’, about Melania Trump,” said Handler, who extends the award ceremony for a third consecutive year.
According to the IMDB website, “Anora” is a film from 2024 about a “young sex worker from Brooklyn” who “meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. As soon as the news reaches Russia, her fairy tale is threatened.”

She said that those who did not win during the awards show of Friday evening “will simply be in the background and question your life choices, such as Cheryl Hines at a Senate Hearing. ”
The comedian also poked in diversity, equity and inclusion (dei).
“I am the host, Chelsea Handler,” she said. “I want to acknowledge that we have experienced a lot lately … our whole country, wake up every day, not knowing what news we will hear that we will disappoint and abhor us.”
