The University of California, Davis, has announced plans to convert its men and ladies Dressing rooms In his recreation centers in “Universal” all-sex dressing rooms. The decision has led to indignation of women’s rights activists.
The university announced the renovation project in February and claimed that it had abolished the old dressing room size for the goal of “Inclusivity.
“We appreciate inclusive, accessible environments that meet the various needs of our community. We are pleased to announce that we will renovate the current dressing room facilities to implement universal changing rooms,” the university said in the announcement.
“All members of the campus recreation can use our universal changing rooms, regardless of who they are or how they identify themselves. These spaces include members with disabilities and members of all gender identities.”

The news about this change spread on Tuesday after two bills were aimed at keeping transgender athletes from women’s and girls sports, they were unable to pass on a state and federal level on Monday.
Californian women’s rights activist Beth Bourne placed on X on the Universal Locker Rooms and the recoil of female students.
Ladies tennis legend Martina Navratilova called the situation ‘Beyond f —– Up’.
“This goes beyond F —– Up! Be prepared to lose many women from this madness,” Navratilova wrote.
Many other users expressed similar indignation with their own messages.
The university expects to spend $ 5 million on the renovations, and students will have until Wednesday to remove all their assets from the current changing rooms. The renovated changing rooms will only reopen in September.
The announcement of the university states that all toilets, changing rooms and cabanas are individual, private spaces with floor-to-ceiling lock doors and claims that it “offers more privacy for all members” compared to the current format.
