Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams come home in space after nine months

Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are preparing to touch on earth again in Tuesday.

The two have been at the international space station since June. Their mission was only planned to last a week after the launch of the first astronaut flight of Boeing, but they were stuck in space after problems NASA had forced the Boeing Starliner Empty.

Wilmore, Williams, Crew-9 commander Nick Hague and Russian Kosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov were originally planned to splash from the coast of Florida on Wednesday. Now, due to the unfavorable weather, NASA focuses on undocking from the space station at 1:05 am et Tuesday with Splashdown just before 6 pm the same day.

“The updated return goal continues to enable the crew members of the Space Station to complete transfer tasks and at the same time offer operational flexibility over less favorable weather conditions that are expected later in the week,” ” Said Nasa In a statement.
