Former WBA 140-LB Champion Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz (27-3-1, 18 Kos) looked like his old self, defeating the hard angel Fierro (23-3-2, 18 kos) from a competitive 10 round unanimous Decision on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Fierro showed an excellent chin today because he had been pointed out in this fight, but he got the best that Cruz could catch. He just kept walking forward, looking to land with his own.
Cruz, 26, pressed the whole race, landed hard shots on the head and body of Fierro. The rounds had a flow back and back to them, with the two fighters loading the power plans and having a little problematic landing. Cruz’s ability to get punishment has not changed from his fight against Gervonta Davis in 2021.
The results
96-94
97-93
98-92
Pitbull came out of a 12 round loss of decision on Jose ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela on August 3 last year in Los Angeles. Chooses not to try to avenge this loss by choosing to refuse rematch, which did not play well with the fans
This victory keeps Pitbull as one of the viable opponents for fighters such as Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia to face 2026.
