Middleweight Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (18-1, 12 Kos) won a stunningly wide 12 round unanimous decision in a race that seemed to be close enough to be a tie against the Second Tier Fighter Patrice Volny (19-2, 13 Kos) on Saturday night at their Headliner Headliner at Care Royal of Florida.

Williams, 28, focused on using tumor punching to overcome the largest, stronger and much older 35 -year -old Volny. The rounds were very close, making it impossible to determine who got the best of the action. Eventually, the judges focused on the strong finish of ammunition, but the results were away to how the match played.
The results
118-110
116-112
115-113
Hearn’s plan
After the race, the supporter of the Eddie Hearn race said he wanted to give Ammo Williams a title that shoots before the end of the year. He did not say which champion, but since ammunition is ranked higher with WBA at #7, Hearn will target champion Eriislandy Lara for Williams to fight.
I don’t see ammunition beating Lara, the WBC Champion Carlos Adames and especially not the IBF/WBO Janibek Alimkhanuly champion. These types were hit very hard and have too many talents for very green enormite lighting Williams. It struggles as if it is muscles and cannot create power for some reason.
“This was by far the best victory of his career,” said supporter Eddie Hearn for Ammo Williams. “The Middleweight section is a bit dead now. I think in 2025, it’s time for this man to fight for a world title.”
Edgar Berlanga crushes Gonzalez-Tortiz
In the other notable card match on the card, Super Middleweight or I had to say Cruiserweight, Edgar Berlanga (23-1, 18 kos) destroyed Jonathan Gonzalez-Tariz (20-1-1, 16 kos) in the first round.
Berlanga was coming out of his loss to Canelo Alvarez last September and you could say from his fleshy, excessive bodybuilding he had eaten well by “The bag” That he got for this fight.
Berlanga was 193 pounds for this race, but tonight, he looked even heavier, giving the 35-year-old Gonzalez-Tortiz no chance of winning. Not that he would ever have a chance to any weight. This was a mismatch designed.
The heavy Berlanga tattoos threw Gonzalez-Torziz three times with hard punches on the head. The referee came in and fell after the third Knockdown. Time was at 2:31 of the first. Gonzalez-Tortiz seemed badly out of the shape, showing a flabby midsection from being out of the ring for a solid ten years.
