Alexis’ Rocha (25-2-1, 16 KOs) fought nonstop in a twelve round draw that ended in a draw with Rocha taking one of the scores against Raul Curiel (15-0-1, 13 KOs) on the night of Saturday at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.
Rocha tied Curiel, 15-0-1 (13) in a 12-round fight.
In the first four rounds, Rocha had his way, landing to Curiel’s body and head. Curiel had his best round in the seventh round, finishing in the final minute—and finishing Rocha.
Curiel had his best round in the eighth round, with Rocha covering the entire round. Go back and forth in the ninth and tenth rounds, taking turns getting the best.
In the eleventh round, Curiel outlasted Rocha in a mostly close fight. Halfway through the twelfth and final round, Rocha rocked Curiel with a left hook to the chin. In the last minute, Curiel ends the power of two.

2016 Olympic middleweight champion Charles Conwell (21-0, 16 KOs) stopped southpaw Gerardo Luis Vergara (20-1, 13 KOs) at 2:51 of the seventh round of a scheduled ten-rounder.
In the first two rounds, Conwell won both rounds, beating Vergara to the body. In the third round, both opened up to the body in a solid round for both, with Vergara bleeding from the mouth.
In the fourth round, Conwell continued to get the better of southpaw Vergara, whose record shows weak opposition against the former Olympian. Vergara finally made it competitive in the fifth round, though she lost the round.
In the sixth round, Conwell drew blood from Vergara’s nose. In the seventh round, Conwell landed a dozen unanswered punches, prompting referee Thomas Taylor to make a wise stoppage.
Former WBA, WBC, WBO Super Flyweight World Champion, 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalist Marlen Esparza (15-2, 1 KO) defeated former Flyweight Champion Arley ‘Ametralladora’ Mucino (32-5-2, 11 KOs) by unanimous decision over ten rounds decision.
Thomas Taylor warned Muccino twice for pulling Esparza’s head down. In the third and fourth rounds, Mucino took both.
In the fifth and sixth rounds, Esparza came back to win both. In the eighth round, both fighters went to the body.
In the ninth lap both had their moments in an all-action lap, with Esparza holding the lead. In the tenth and final lap, Mucino had a strong finish to take the round.
Score 98-92, 98-92 and 97-93.
Super Flyweight John ‘Scrappy’ Ramirez (14-1, 9 KOs) defeated southpaw Ephraim Bui (10-1, 8 KOs) by a ten-round unanimous decision for the vacant NABF title.
In the first round, Ramirez backed up Bui for the entire round. Bui suffered a cut to his right eyelid in the second round due to a clash of heads, but did enough to get past Ramirez. In the third round, Bui did well again, getting the better of Ramirez.
In the fourth round, blood flowed down the face of Bui’s right eye. In the fifth round, Ramirez landed several lead rights to Bui’s chin.
In the sixth round, Bui got the better of Ramirez. In the seventh round, Ramirez got the better of Bui. In the eighth round, in the closing seconds, Ramirez landed a hard right to Bui’s chin, knocking his head back.
In the ninth round, Ramirez rocked Bui with a right to the chin halfway through the round. In the tenth and final round, in a close fight, Bui had his best round, landing Ramirez.

Super Feather Victor Morales I (20-0-1, 10 KOs) stopped Ivan Guardado (16-3-1, 6 KOs) 0:1 in the eighth round of a scheduled ten rounds.
In the second round, Morales cut Guardado’s right eyelid. In the third round, Guardado came back with a left hook to the chin, injuring Morales in the first minute. Morales made it to the bell.
In the fourth round, Guardado came back pretty well until the final seconds when Morales landed a left hook to the chin, nearly dropping him and making him hold. In the fifth round Guardado came back holding his own.
Morales’ right eye was closed by Guardado’s jabs in the seventh round. In the eighth round, referee Rey Corona called the ring doctor, who examined the eye and called for a stoppage.
Jorge Chavez (13-8, (8 KOs)) defeated Ruben “El Manici” Dario Casero, 12-4 (4 KOs), by eight-round unanimous decision.
The referee was Rudy Barragan. The scores were 80-72, 80-72 and 80-72.
Light welterweight Ricardo Ruvalcaba (13-0-1, 10 KOs) defeated Jabin Chollet (10-2, 8 KOs) by eight-round unanimous decision.

Super Bantam Gael ‘El Terrorista’ Cabrera (6-0, 4 KOs), defeated Garen ‘Hellboy’ Diagan (10-7, 5 KOs) at 2:59 of the second round of a scheduled 6.
In the second round, Diagan went down, forcing referee Rudy Carriban to stop without a count.
Lightweight Joshua ‘El Americano’ Garcia (9-1, 4 KOs) was knocked out by Uhlices Avelino-Reyes (3-1, 2 KOs) in the second round of a scheduled bout.
In the first round, Avelino-Reyes was dropped for an 8 count by referee Chris Leben. In the second round, Avelino-Reyes went down for the second time, forcing Laben to stop.
Super Light Javier Meza (1-0, 1 KO) pinned David Music (0-2) at 2:58 of the first round of a scheduled four-rounder.
