Agents with the American customs and border protection (CBP) Will no longer wear body cameras during field activities after a social media post published how to identify individual agents.
“All American border patrol agents will put the use of body-worn cameras (BWC) in all operational environments,” CBP said in a statement to NewsNation, which originally reported the news.

CBP officials sent a guideline after the post -informing agents of a “potentially security risk” while immediately removing body cameras from use in the field.
“In anticipation of the completion of research and risk reduction, all agents will decrease the use of their BWCs (cameras supported by the body) for further notification. Additional guidelines and information will be distributed as it is received,” the guideline said.
Sources told NewsNation that the cameras used by BP agents are Avon Body Cams, of which the Social Media Post Claims are that Devices Ble Radar, which has been developed by F-drid, can detect.
