For families throughout America, “Report card day“Serves as an important moment to assess how a child learning and progressing.

Last week, the Nation’s report card -The only national measure of how the American schools run by the government performed at home and the results are devastating. In reporting card language what a D- was now a F.

It is time for a national “family meeting” about the state of education in this country.

Let’s start with the facts. The report card shows that seven of the 10 fourth classes are not competent readers, a number that has been exacerbated since the last report in 2022. Even worse, the figures have not been improved in three decades.

Five ways in which Trump and McMahon can make education great

The same applies to the eighth classes: fewer than a third of American students go to high school with the reading and understanding skills they need to excel.

If you can’t read, you can’t learn. It’s that simple. And the country’s report card shows that for one historical Number of students, reading is a skill that they simply do not master. Without literacy, these children will struggle in every subject, lag further on a lifetime limited opportunities.

The worst of all is that the most vulnerable children – those who were already struggling – those whose scores are the most deterioration. The lowest performing 10% of the students have seen their reading scores fall in the past decade with a stunning 19 points.

Trump has written a dei -government sentence. The school policy should be the following

The trendline concretely refutes the story of the educational institution that these declines can be explained by the pandemic. Of course, the same educational institution also does not succeed in recognizing schools closed for months and in some cases years after we knew that students and teachers could return safely. This has done more damage exponentially than the Coronavirus.

The truth is what happened with the performance of students is a failed decades in the making. And it is an indictment of the US Department of Education.

The department was founded in 1979 with an indictment to close the performance gaps between students in this country. But after having issued more than a trillion taxpayer dollar, the Department supervised a broadening of these gaps.

Trump has the chance to get rid of our broken education system

The latest data show that the gap between the highest and lowest performing students is the widest it has ever been. This is particularly breathtaking given that schools have received nearly $ 200 billion supplementary Federal financing after the pandemic, specifically intended to help students who had fallen behind.

The results? Those children are now lagging further than anyone.

Of course this is inevitable if the department continues to perform the same game: pouring more money into the same broken, bureaucrate-loading, trade union-driven system. Paging doo.

It is time for a complete reset. If we want our nation to continue to exist for a long time, we must make a meaningful change to put students first. Our economic security, national security, innovation advantage and way of life are in balance. American cannot continue to lead the world if his rising generation cannot even read, let alone excel in mathematics and science.

A complete reset starts with ending the failed experiment that lives in the Ministry of Education. The bureaucrats have focused on obliging dei when students needed the focus to be on ABC and 123. President Trump and the congress must take away their corrosive power and, instead, block all necessary education financing directly to the States.

This reset must also ensure that no child in America is imprisoned in a failing school. This year, the congress must include a radical determination of the freedom of education in its reconciliation package. By giving everything families the power and freedom to choose the best school for their child, we can help everything Students go on the right track again.

Education Freedom is on the Mars throughout the country because it works. Students’ performance improves, and that also applies to the satisfaction of the parents.

It is no wonder that voters sent a clear message to the polls in November: they want to restore power to parents and states – not federal bureaucrats. This is the time to deliver. Our students – and our country – can no longer wait.
