Bellingham joins four Manchester City players in the men’s squad

The Fifpro World XI has been announced for 2024, with England and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham joining four Manchester City players in the men’s squad.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is the only other Premier League player included, with the rest of the squad dominated by Real Madrid stars.

Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, is joined by new team-mate Vinicius Junior and City’s Erling Haaland in a forward line that does not include Lionel Messi for the first time since 2006.

The midfield sees Ballon d’Or winner Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne joined by Bellingham and Champions League winner Toni Kroos, who has retired after this year’s Euro 2024.

Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger man the defense for Van Dijk, with City keeper Ederson appearing between the sticks.

Bellingham topped the overall men’s vote, with the 21-year-old England midfielder receiving 11,176 votes from his peers.

The squad was decided by more than 28,000 fellow professionals from 70 countries, with the men’s teams based on performances between August 2023 and June 2024.
