The Chicago bears are perhaps the hottest head coaching candidate to fill their vacancy, as Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is reportedly headed to the NFC North rival.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to report the hiring, noting that the Las Vegas Raiders were also pursuing Johnson.
Johnson, who last season led a Lions offense that scored 33.2 points per game to lead the NFL, saw an anticlimax to a historic season in the team’s Divisional Round loss to the Washington Commanders last weekend At home.
