Katie Thurston celebrated her engagement to the comedian Jeff Arcuri on Saturday, November 30.
The couple hosted a party at the Oak & Reel restaurant in Detroit, welcoming guests ahead of their upcoming nuptials.
Before the engagement party was revealed, Thurston, 33, posted two photos to her Instagram story, teasing that she had actually already said ‘I do’.

The first photo featured a chic black welcome sign with the words “We’re so glad you’re here. Celebrating the love of Jeff + Katie.” Above the sign was a colorful decorative arch with flowers.
The second Instagram photo was of Thurston kissing Arcuri on the cheek, both dressed in dramatic white wedding attire. The photo Arcuri tagged was captioned ‘Did we just get married?’
The company that created the wedding sign in the first photo, Petal and Grain Designs, solved the mystery with its own Instagram story.
“So excited to be working with @thekatiethurston for her and @jarcuri’s engagement party 🤍,” they captioned the photo, revealing the true nature of the party.

Thurston posted more photos from their cute party on his account, writing “About last night 🤍” in the caption, which included photos of their families and friends celebrating.
Thurston’s gorgeous gown was sheer, short and white, with sequin embellishments. She accessorized with a large white hair bow.
The next day, Thurston shared the link to the Revolve dress and revealed where she bought it.
“I was lucky enough to get mine at @nordstrom for 50% off,” she wrote in the caption. She wrote that she received the dress in a size medium and that “several colors” were available.
The professional comedian proposed to his FBoy Island star pal earlier this year, with the couple announcing the big news on Instagram on September 15.
“When you know, you know 🤍🖤,” Thurston wrote a series of engagement photos. The last post in the carousel was a video of the engagement itself, when Arcuri popped “the question” on the beach.
Arcuri and Thurston made their connection Official Instagram back in June, featuring a sweet photo of them kissing on her account. Thurston gave a cheeky nod to Bachelor Nation in his caption, writing, “It’s safe to say he’s hitting his hometowns next week ❤️.”
