- Marvel announced the return of a few Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) stars in 2026’s “Avengers: Doomday”, including Chris Hemsworth such as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes and Tom Hiddleston.
- Some stars from the “X -Men” films from Fox from Fox, including Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto, were also confirmed as members of Disney’s “Doomsday” cast.
- Fans can also expect performances from stars from upcoming Marvel films, including “Thunderbolts” and “Fantastic Four: First Steps”.

The five veterans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are in the Cast of 2026’s “Avengers: Doomsday”, Marvel announced in a series of social media videos that the company slowly rolled out on Wednesday.
Patrick Stewart, 84, who played Professor X in Fox’s’ X-Men ‘films from Fox, and the 85-year-old Ian McKellen, who played his arch-enemy Magneto, also tried to take advantage of the acquisition of Fox’s film library in the cast’ Doomsday ‘as Doomsday’. Kelsey Grammer, who played Hank “Beast” McCoy, was also announced, just like Rebecca “Mystique” Romijn, James “Cyclops” Marsden and Alan “Nightcrawler” Cumming.
Their characters were hired by younger actors in the reboot of the “X -Men” series 2010, and their admission will certainly cause serious fan speculation about the direction and timelines of “Avengers: Doomsday”.
The more senior superheroes will be accompanied by more recent additions, including some who still have to Make their MCU debut.
Vanessa Kirby, ready to play the invisible woman Sue Storm in the “Fantastic Four: First Steps” of this July, is also set for “Avengers: Doomsday”. Pedro Pascal as Richards will also join the Avengers. Simu Liu, who played the title character in “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” of 2021, is also in the newly announced cast, just like Tenoch Huerta MejÃa, who played the aquatic antagonist Namor Namor in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in the films “Black Panther”, will also be back among the Avengers, just like her “Black Panther” Castmate Winstate Duke.
Florence Pugh, who will repeat her MCU role as Yelena Belova in the upcoming “Thunderbolts” will resume her in “Doomsday”. David Harbor, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen and Lewis Pullman will also be in both films.
Danny Ramirez, who hired De Marvel -Mantel Van Falcon is also in the cast.
Some of the largest and most expected names were not until the 27 names announced, although Marvel and Disney could be on them for the time being.
No report was made of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine or Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, although the announcement included Channing Tatum, which the X-Men’s Gambit played in last year’s “Deadpool & Wolverine”.
The name Tom Holland did not appear either. His Spider-Man became an Avenger in earlier films that are on loan owner Sony, whose complicated relationship with Marvel has made the character a bottleneck.
