Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says the club could make moves in the January transfer window – if they can identify the right players.
The Gunners are six points adrift of leaders Liverpool in the Premier League and are without winger Bukayo Saka through injury.
Last January the club did not bring in any players, but Arteta says he may make a move this year.
He said: “I don’t know. The focus is on the players we have.

“If there is someone on the market that we can afford and we think will have a real impact on the team, then we should always be open to that possibility.
“Right now, the focus is on what we have.”
Team news
Saka remains out for an extended period but Arsenal will have Kai Havertz available through illness for Saturday’s trip to Brighton.
Former Seagulls defender Ben White remains sidelined, while Takehiro Tomiyasu is back in training but will not be rushed back. To add to the problems right-back Jurrien Timber was suspended.
However, Raheem Sterling could be back soon.
Arteta said: “He (Sterling) is starting to do some things on the pitch so that’s great news. Let’s see how it goes next week and see if he’s available next week.”
