AOC mocked for hysterical rant in defense of trans athletes in girls’ sports: ‘Trans girls are girls!’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was once more the subject of a viral roast campaign after an unhinged tirade on the House floor on Tuesday.

Ocasio-Cortez spoke out against The Protection of Women and girls in sports Trade in a two-minute rant that included both false and unsubstantiated claims. Her speech ended with an inexplicable claim that “CEOs love this bill” as it addresses California’s ongoing wildfires.

The bill ultimately passed and now heads to the Senate after all 216 Republicans in the House of Representatives voted in favor, along with only two Democrats. Meanwhile, 206 Democrats, including Ocasio-Cortez, voted against the bill.

Ocasio-Cortez opened her argument by referencing Republicans’ history of voting against the Violence Against Women Act and an apparently false claim regarding their position on abortion rights.

“Republicans who have consistently voted against violence against women, who have taken away the right of all women to choose and control their own bodies, who, while women bleed to death in parking lots across the country, stand there and allow to let us die, now today they want to pretend they care about women!” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Abortion is currently protected by state law in 21 states and the District of Columbia, and President-elect Trump has repeatedly emphasized that under his administration, abortion rights will be left to the states.

Ocasio-Cortez was also one of several Democrats who pushed unsubstantiated claims that the law would subject young girls to sexual predators.

“And why? To open up gender and yes genital testing on little girls in this country, in the so-called name of attacking trans girls!” Ocasio-Cortez continued.

Nowhere in the bill does it state that girls or women must undergo a genital examination in order to participate in sports. However, Ocasio-Cortez, along with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and other Democrats who oppose it, have cited that possibility as their main argument in opposing the bill.

“The majority currently says that there is no room for genital examinations in this bill. The point is: there is no enforcement mechanism in this bill. And if there is no enforcement mechanism, you open the door to any enforcement. mechanism!” said Ocasio-Cortez.

HOW TRANSGENDERISM IN SPORTS CHANGED THE 2024 ELECTIONS AND Ignited A NATIONAL COUNTERCULTURE

The bill provides that it is a violation of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 for any federally funded educational program or activity to operate, sponsor, or facilitate athletic programs or activities that enable persons of the male sex to participate to programs or activities intended for women or girls.

Under the bill Sex is based on an individual’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.

Ocasio-Cortez has been a consistent advocate for trans inclusion in women’s sports and has previously used the word “predatory” to describe those who oppose it. In November, Ocasio-Cortez shared again a video of Green Party vice presidential candidate Butch Ware speaking out against trans inclusion in women’s sports, with the caption: “This ticket is predatory and people deserve better.”

And now, despite many within her party and in the liberal media publicly denying support for trans inclusion, Ocasio-Cortez has no doubts about her position on what a woman or girl is.

“Trans girls are girls!” Ocasio-Cortez said this during the hearing on Tuesday.

Ocasio-Cortez then launched into a series of rambling and unfinished sentences on the issue.

“And to all the people who are so concerned, thank you for making me worry about women for the first time. I don’t know about you. I don’t know who’s been to gym class lately, but girls, too Even if you believe there are only two genders, I played mixed sports all the time!” She said, before moving on to another point.

Ocasio-Cortez’s next point was to warn that the bill could lead to an appreciation of traditional femininity.

“What this also opens the door to is women trying to portray a very specific kind of femininity for the kind of men who are writing this bill, and raising questions about who a woman is because of what we look like. how we present ourselves, and yes, what we want to do with our bodies,” she said.

The bill has nothing to do with the way biological women dress, present themselves or any anatomical or bodily decisions.

Ocasio-Cortez concluded her speech by claiming that the bill is “loved” by “bigots” and “attackers,” before making her inexplicable connection to CEOs and the California Wildfires.

“Biggoted people love this bill. Attackers love this bill, but CEOs love this bill too. Because Los Angeles is on fire right now, and this is the number one priority that this majority has,” she said before passing it left stage.

Ocasio-Cortez was harshly criticized on social media for her rant later on Tuesday.

Ocasio-Cortez previously co-sponsored the Equality Act, which was proposed in 2019 and has undergone revisions that would “force public schools to allow biologically male athletes who identify as transgender on girls’ sports teams.”

In March 2023, Democrats, including Ocasio-Cortez, advocated for a transgender bill. a resolution “Recognizing that it is the duty of the Federal Government to develop and implement a Transgender Bill of Rights.”

Now, however, the issue of preventing trans inclusion has become a bipartisan priority, with Republicans and Trump simply taking the lead.
