Angel Reese. Dijonai Carrington Lash out to fans about appearance reactions

WNBA players Angel Reese And Dijonai Carrington pronounced criticism aimed at them by the newer fans of the competition during an episode of Reese’s Podcast, “Unapological Angel”, Friday.

Both players have been the subject of hard comments from fans after controversial interactions with phenomenon Caitlin Clark.

Reese has had to deal with criticism of her interactions with Clark dating from the NCAA ladies basketball championship match of 2023, when Reese mockingly pointed her finger after he led LSU to the title over Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes.

In 2024, Reese and some of her Chicago Sky teammates committed a series of controversial errors at Clark in four Wnba meetings.

“It is difficult, especially because two black women are unapologetic, we are going to pop up our s — and say what we have to say. And I am standing on what we said. I have the feeling that it is really difficult,” Reese said at the show of Friday about the criticism she receives.

Carrington was confronted with intense recoil after she had given Clark a black eye with her fingernail in a play -off meeting between Clark’s Indiana Fever and Carrington’s previous team, The Connecticut Sun, in September. Carrington also spoke to Clark and her fan base earlier.

“They are really loose at the mouth,” Carrington said about her critics. “I know they think they are trolls, but they are not just trolls. They are people we see in real life.”

But for Reese and Carrington, some comments are the most disturbing them that with regard to their appearance.

“I hate it when people say that:” Oh, she’s too worried about her makeup and her hair and her eyelashes and her nails and her outfits, “Reese said.

Carrington said she is not as difficult as people say she pays too much attention to her appearance, but she said that they “hate” when people wonder why she has blond her.

“I hate it when people talk about it, such as:” Why do you have blond hair? “” Said Carrington. “I have black eyebrows. I have black arm hair, black leg hair … and I don’t care. I am still a natural blonde.”

Reese then claimed that although players such as she and Carrington are criticized because they have made too much effort to look feminine, some WNBA players have also been criticized because they look too masculine.

“They complain and say that WNBA players are too masculine, not feminine enough. We don’t dress cute enough. They don’t want to see a couple of little boys run around the field. Now we are too much,” said Reese.

“I don’t look at that Wnba. Masculin, long shorts, they wear braids. They all love each other. They all date together. “That’s not true,” said Reese, laughing at the fact that Carrington is based on colleague -WNBA player Nalyssa Smith.

“I don’t get it, like D — I can’t turn on a small lip gloss?” Reese added.

Despite these complaints, Reese may have indirectly implied her feelings about the appearance of Clark. At one point during the interview, Reese mentioned the “bad guys” of the Wnba, who is urban jargon for a person who is confident, stylish and attractive.

“They knew who the bad guys were, you (Carrington), I, Cameron (Brink), Kia (nurse),” said Reese.

Reese left Clark of that list of.

In no time in the episode, Carrington or Reese Clark has tackled in any way.
