Amy Adams wants to play Taylor Swift’s publicist Tri Payne in a movie

Amy Adams fully agrees with taking on the role of Pine tree — if the opportunity presents itself, of course.

“That would be amazing,” Adams, 50, said during an appearance Tuesday, Dec. 3, at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when the host of the show brought up the idea, which is spreading on social media. “That would be so much fun.”

Fans of Swift, 34, are showing a biopic made about Payne, 53, who is Taylor Swiftlongtime publicist. Adams seemed excited about the idea, especially if she “brings it closer” to Swift.

“I’ve always liked and appreciated her music,” the actress said. Adams admitted she became a “Swiftie at 50” after getting a chance to see Swift’s Eras Tour.

“I’m like a variable, 50, Swiftie. … I wonder, isn’t that cool? And my daughter’s like, ‘Oh, I hate that for you,'” Adams continued, noting that she used to be a low-key Swift fan. The Tour of the Ageshowever, changed that.
