American judge in Delaware ends gun case against Hunter and stops with full dismissal


The federal judge who oversaw Hunter Biden’s gun trial was terminated further legal proceedings in his case Tuesday, in the wake of President Joe Biden’s sweeping pardon that protects his son from prosecution for all crimes he “committed or may have committed” from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.

U.S. Judge Maryellen Noreika, the presiding judge in the case Trial against Biden in Delawareannounced on Tuesday the termination of all further proceedings in the case, citing the pardon signed by outgoing President Joe Biden.

However, Judge Noreika stopped short of dismissing the case as requested by Hunter’s legal team.

A Delaware jury found Hunter guilty on all three federal counts this summer felony firearm charges submitted to the court by prosecutors.

Prior to the major pardon announcement, his sentencing date was scheduled for December 12.

Announcing the pardon, President Joe Biden criticized the unfair investigation and prosecution of his son, a process he said was “tainted” by politics and led to a “miscarriage of justice.”

“No reasonable person looking at the facts of Hunter’s cases could come to any conclusion other than that Hunter was singled out solely because he is my son — and that is wrong,” the president said in a statement Sunday.

But some critics also noted that the pardon violated Biden’s longtime promises not to pardon his son and risks further eroding public perception of the world. Ministry of Justice.

Hunter also pleaded guilty accusations of tax evasion in California, which is also where the pardon applies.
