Newcastle’s extremist, Miguel Almron, could leave the club before the transfer deadline, says coach Edi Hau.
Almron has been a key player in Newcastle since he arrived from Atlanta, USA six years ago, but fell under the row, scoring for the last time in December 2023.
The 30 -year -old has been linked to a return to MLS and has come close to joining a Saudi Arabian team last summer.
Howe said: “I think Miggy’s head was very, very stable here. He was brilliant in training this week and I haven’t seen a single moment when I thought I had to address or talk to him or have a deeper conversation.
“I think we both know the situation. Yes, there is interest in him from other clubs. There is probably a chance to leave before the window, but until that time, and if this moment never happens, it is still a valuable member of the team.

“We love him a little, he has a great energy and character that has not changed for a second, he was the absolute professional. And let’s see what happens. “
Newcastle was well defeated by Bournemouth last weekend to finally end her long winning series.
Howe says the striker Callum Wilson is close to a return, while goalkeeper Nick Pope could be in the team to face Southampton on Saturday.
He said: “It’s too early for Callum. Callum is still on track to return to early February.
“It makes good progress. We try to do the right things with him and make sure he is strong enough and he has all the work behind him and the burden behind him before he starts training with the team.
“But it seems very positive. What a huge player would be to welcome back.
“There is a chance that Nick is in the team. He started training with the team again and it is great to see Nick behind and his presence, his positivity.
“I have seen him do some very good things this week, so yes, I am glad to have him again in the mix.”
