President Donald Trump And his administration will still have a busy week, because negotiations on ending the war in Russia-Ukraine will start.
This week Trump is sending a handful of American officials to Saudi Aarabia to start negotiating a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, Fox News told on Sunday morning that he and national security adviser Mike Waltz will travel to Saudi Arabia on Sunday evening, while State Secretary Marco Rubio will also travel to Saudi -Arabia after his presence of the International Munich Safety Conference last week and meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Sunday.
The meeting in Saudi Arabia is coming after Trump announced last Wednesday Russian President Vladimir Putin Easily to start “immediately” with peace talks.
“Next week there will be a meeting in Saudi Aarabia,” Trump told the media during a press conference on Thursday. ‘Not with myself nor President Putin, but with top officials. And Ukraine will also be part of it. And we’re going to see if we can end that war. That was a terrible war. It is a mean, bloody war.
Russia and Ukraine have been at war since February 2022, when Russia invaded his neighboring nation for the first time. During the campaign track 2024, Trump had said that he would end the war if he had re -elected, while he claimed it would never have begun if he had been in the Oval Office at that time.

Stateside, Trump spent his weekend in Mar-A-Lago in Florida before he went to the Daytona 500, where fans burst into cheers when Air Force One flew over Daytona International Speedway. Trump is the first sitting president to attend two Daytona 500 races in Daytona International Speedway, who previously attended the 2020 race.

Trump’s schedule this week can also meet a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who asked for a visit to the President of the White House.
Trump told the media on Friday that he spoke with the British Prime Minister and that he accepted a request to meet each other in the White House.
