Aaron Rodgers gets angry at reporter when asked to reflect on Jets’ awful playoff drought

The New York Jets’ The terrible playoff drought continued on Sunday with a loss to the Miami Dolphins.

It has now been fourteen years in a row since the Jets have made the playoffs. New York hasn’t made the postseason since the 2010 season, when Rex Ryan was head coach, Darrelle Revis patrolled the secondary and Mark Sanchez slung the pigskin around the field.

Even as the Jets built their team around four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and close confidantes of his, it seems the team has only gotten worse. The Jets fell to 3-10 with the loss to the Dolphins and could only finish the season 7-10 if they won their last four games.

Rodgers didn’t seem to want to hear about the playoff drought when asked to think about it.

“What’s the question?” Rodgers asked curtly when a reporter brought up the drought.

Rodgers threw for 339 yards and had a touchdown pass in the loss to Miami. It was the first time since December 2021 that he threw for at least 300 yards in a single game.

“We have to find a way to finish and do our best when our best is needed,” Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said. “And if I can’t do that, I have to look at myself first.”
