Maria Menounos proves to be just like us thanks to the husband Kevin Undergarothere are many nicknames for her.
“So Keven in the early days called me Froggy,” the 46-year-old TV host exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “That went away after I stopped being cute, I started being an A girl … that’s what he says.”
Menounos jokes that Undergaro’s nicknames for her went from cute to annoying as their relationship grew. The couple tied the knot in 2017 New Year celebrations in Times Square after a 15-year relationship. Now Undergaro’s nicknames for his wife come from “Mrs. Bitch” to “The Crowd Goes Wild” — and Menounos explains why.
“Kevan is really funny and has a lot of nicknames for everyone. Each of our dogs had 50 names and Kevin likes to mess with me,” she shares. “So we’ll go to Chili’s for dinner and the woman will say, ‘Oh, how much?'” He’ll say, ‘One.’ He’ll say “Two, one bitch.” And the waitress is always like “What?”
Menounos teases that Undergaro, 57, has a “dark sense of humor.” Besides having random nicknames, Menounos shares that she and Undergaro have their daily conversations in an interesting place.
“Kevan and I have our morning meetings in the shower,” she says. “We go through everything there.”

us: What’s the last thing you waited in line for?
Menounos: Groceries. Waiting in line to pay for your purchases, I just did. I don’t like waiting in lines…I hate lines.
us: When was the last time you went out to a nightclub?
Menounos: i don’t know i remember my college days were in boston but that’s about it. I spent a lot of time cleaning nightclubs in Boston.
us: What is the one task or errand you tend to procrastinate or put off?
Menounos: I don’t know I’m pretty diligent in my tasks right now (but) I think Amazon returns are kind of annoying.

Presley Ann/Getty Images for Family Film & Television Awardsus: What is your favorite song to sing in the shower and why?
Menounos: Well, I have some Greek songs. I really like to sing in the shower (but) I’m starting to realize that I haven’t the shower a lot because I’m with Keven so we talk.
us: What is the last meal you cooked for yourself or your family?
Menounos: I bought cauliflower skin and made it great pizza. So (for) my super pizza, you use Rao’s sauce, you get chopped garlic, you get some fresh oregano, you get some grated parmesan (and) you put that in there. Add some salt and then add fresh mozzarella – sliced - and then throw some of the other mozzarella on top. A little pinch of oregano on top (and) pop it in the oven.
us: What celebrity news are you obsessing over right now?
Menounos: I care less about celebrity news. sorry I never cared in the first place. I was supposed to be a sportscaster. I just fell into it. It just happened. I love everyone, but I don’t really care what everyone does necessarily, unless it’s something I want to see. I’m happy for everyone to do their job, but I’m not actively looking (for) what everyone is doing. it’s not me … I’m looking for how to get better, how to survive, how to give less Fs, how to heal — that’s my energy zone.
us: What time do you wake up and go to sleep each night?
Menounos: I try to sleep at sunset, which is difficult right now on the East Coast. It’s very early, but it makes me want to go to bed right away. And then I wake up at sunrise, every day is non-negotiable.
us: what are you thankful for
Menounos: I am thankful for my family every day. Thank you God for my family. Thank you for my beautiful, happy, healthy daughter Athena. Thank you for my health and healing. Thank you for allowing and sparing me to be here every day so I can be with my baby. Thank you for the abundance of opportunities and great people and just great things in my life.
us: What’s your new year’s resolution?
Menounos: I can never keep track of these things. I have to think about this year. I need some time.
