It didn’t take long Kayla Nicole and Brody Jenner to form a — ahem — special relation of the set Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test season 3.

“I think pooping next to each other in the open really creates a really deep bond,” Nicole, 32, exclusively said Us Weekly as we chatted about the upcoming season of the Fox reality competition show. Jenner, 41, hilariously added: “She was behind me every time I had to release a pair.”

Nicole and Jenner are two of 16 celebrities who will be put through a series of grueling challenges similar to actual Special Forces training in the series’ third season, which premieres Wednesday, January 8. While the cast is pushed to their physical and mental limits, only a handful will emerge from the competition stronger than ever.

“When you’re stripped down like that, I mean you literally have nothing on,” Nicole said us from the shooting experience. “You don’t have your family, you don’t have your friends, you don’t have your phones, you don’t have social media. There is no way to disconnect. You have no choice but to connect. And luckily, it was a cast full of really amazing, goofy people that we were able to relate to. I am truly grateful.”

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is gearing up for an even more intense season in January 2025. Jenner doubled down on her kind comments, calling her co-stars “phenomenal.” He added: “The camaraderie that goes through these team challenges because it’s not a competition. You are not there to compete against each other. You’re there to get to know each other and help each other, motivate each other and just try to get to the end.”

Jenner went on to acknowledge former NFL stars Golden Tate and Cam Newton for helping to keep things light on set despite the difficult conditions. “There were just people who were fun and there was just such a variety and we got really lucky. We really did,” he said.

Nicole said us that she joined the show to prove to herself that she was “capable of anything she put her mind to,” which included facing a newfound fear. “I didn’t know I had a fear of heights until the show,” she revealed. “I love trains. I can do all those things, but there’s something about jumping off a bridge above ground (that) scares me. I can jump out of a helicopter into the water any day. I loved these assignments. But for whatever reason, put me on a bridge over unmoving ground and I freeze.

Meanwhile, Jenner said she had to leave his fiancee, Tia Blancoand 16-month-old daughter, Honey, was “one of the hardest parts” for his Special forces travel. (The couple welcomed their first child together in July 2023)

“Tia is the best mom ever, so I knew Honey was well looked after,” he said. “So knowing I’ve got an amazing support team at home and they’re going to be fine, and to go out there and just try to get the job done, it’s been great.”
