DNC National Finance Committee member Lindy Li said Democratic Party has been so weakened by the victory of newly elected President Donald Trump that it has the stench of ‘loser’ attached to it.
“I think the Democratic Party, unfortunately, has the stench of losers throughout the party,” Li, a prominent fundraiser for the party, said on Fox & Friends Weekend.
Major tech leaders such as Google CEO Sundar Pichai, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have all met with Trump or, in Altman’s case, donated directly to Trump’s inaugural committee following his election victory .

Amazon plans to make a $1 million donation Trump’s inauguration fund. Altman also donated $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund, with Zuckerberg announcing similar plans to strengthen his ties with the newly elected president.
“I speak as a Democrat myself, it is no joy for me to say it. “I feel like the Democrats are going to be sent to the wilderness for the next four to eight years and Jeff Bezos is probably thanking his lucky stars that he withheld that endorsement,” Li said. “They are now doing everything they can to continue the relaxation.”
Bezos finished presidential endorsements by the Washington Post, which he bought in 2013, shortly before Election Day this year. The decision angered some liberal staffers and reporters, who were eager to put the newspaper’s official position behind Vice President Kamala Harris.
When asked about the tech industry’s reaction as a whole to Trump’s victory, Li said they are excited about his incoming administration.

“I think the tech world is loving the fact that Donald Trump is going to be the next president,” Li said. “He has really embraced crypto. He says he wants the United States to become the crypto capital of the world.”
Li also spoke about the growing unpopularity of key Democratic Party policies, including tackling illegal immigration, and said voters are “fed up” with Democrats.

“I speak as an immigrant,” Li said. ‘For immigrants like me, who became one naturalized Americans“Proud and grateful Americans, it is deeply disturbing that people are just pouring into the country knowingly.”
Zuckerberg visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago in early December to strengthen his ties with the newly elected president as he prepared to take office in January.
