Blue Bloods Series Finale: Who Died, Who’s Married, Who’s Pregnant?

The Reagans came together to defend New York in an epic and emotional way Blue blood series finale after a madman threatens to put all of their lives in danger.

Warning: Spoilers below for Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 18.

The Friday, December 13 episode began with the murder of a New York judge who sent shock waves through the city. As detectives Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) began to investigate the murder, defeated the cops Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) and Luis Badillo (Ian Quinlan) responded to a car theft call heard on the radio.

Eddy and Badillo are ambushed by gunmen on motorcycles as soon as they get out of their vehicle—and both are shot. Across town, two men on a different motorcycle shoot at Mayor Chase (Dylan Walsh), who was rushed to the hospital.

In the office of Assistant District Attorney, Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) and her colleagues are surprised to receive a threatening video from a masked man who says that gangs in New York are united and ready to continue killing officers and employees unless certain inmates are released.

Everyone soon realizes that all their cases are related to the gang of Ace Double Tres (ADT) and Carlos Ramirez (Manny Perez) at the center of chaos.

Before the mayor goes into surgery for his injuries, he gives Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) the keys to the city and tells him to “get us out of this.” Frank does just that and uses every resource at his disposal, which includes Erin asking her ex-husband Jack Boyle (Peter Herman) to pull some strings and get him to sit down with inmate Lorenzo Batista (Edward James Olmos), whose son shot the mayor.

Although he was worried about his wife Edie, who survived his attack, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes), worked with his nephew Joe Hill (Will Hochman) to track down one of the shooters. Badillo, unfortunately, does not make it.

The cast of Blue Bloods doesn’t just play family on TV, they’ve become a tight-knit group since the show first premiered in 2010. The CBS series follows the lives of the Reagan family, led by Tom Selleck’s Commissioner Frank Reagan. Frank’s father, Henry Reagan (Len Cariou), sits across from him at the weekly Sunday group (…)

Meanwhile, Eddie doesn’t stick around for long and is back in action after Ramirez’s daughter, who fans met earlier this season, calls her and says her dad is scaring her. After his own brush with death, Danny tracked down Ramirez, rescued his daughter, and took him into custody (using his usual fatherly charm and strength).

Jamie and Joe eventually find the shooter who shot Badillo when he came to visit his newborn baby in the hospital. Before taking him away, Jamie called for Eddie to handcuff him, which she did using Badillo’s police handcuffs. The mayor’s shooter was also found and captured.

After an anxious few days, Reagans catches all the bad guys responsible for the threats and shooting. After Badillo’s police funeral, which was attended by everyone, the family celebrated their victory with a family dinner.

In addition to Frank, Danny, Erin, Jamie and Eddie, grandfather Henry Reagan (Only from Caria) and Frank’s grandchildren, Nicky (Sammy Gayle), Jack (Tony Terraciano) and Sean (Andrew Terracino), everyone had seats on the table. Erin’s on-again, off-again partner Jack was also sitting next to her.

“There is much to be thankful for. Looking at this tableI have to say I couldn’t be more proud and grateful,” Frank gushed before everyone said grace one last time.

Frank then happily handed the keys to the city back to the mayor saving the day with the help of his family and officers. He then attended Badillo’s funeral with all his loved ones by his side and shared a sweet message to Badillo’s mother. “Please take a good look around you, all of Lewis’s family is here with you today,” he said as tears flowed over the crowd.

Frank stayed at the head of the family table to finish the series – and was still New York’s police commissioner.

Henry Reagan

Henry stayed out of trouble throughout the final but offered his oldest grandson, Danny, some sage advice about his love life. At the end of the episode, Henry was happy and healthy, still living with his son Frank.

While chasing Ramirez and his daughter, Danny has a heart-to-heart with Henry about his personal life. “I’ve always told you not to bring work home,” Henry reminded Danny, noting that “the problem now is that there’s no one to bring it home to.” He then told Danny to promise him that he would “find that someone” after this case.

Danny heard his grandfather loud and clear later invite your work partnerBaez, on a date that felt like a date. “Do you want to get pizza?” Danny said before the two left the lot hand in hand.

Erin Reagan

After Jack helped the Reagans as a favor to Erin, the two went for a walk. Erin and Jack, who were divorced but seeing each other again, took a trip down memory laneremembering what a good team they are.

“We tried marriage, remember?” Jack reminded Erin, who replied, “Yes, and despite our best efforts, we are still here. One foot in and one foot out. Maybe we should try both legs?’

She pointed out that “everyone deserves a second chance” and promised that this time would be “different.” Erin then suggested, “Party of two? City Hall? Tell everyone about it after the fact?’

Jack agreed, and during the family dinner, Erin said she had a message, hinting at the couple’s secret marriage. However, after Jamie and Eddie shared their own big news, Erin chose to keep hers quiet, casting a meaningful glance at Jack’s table.

Jamie Reagan

Jamie and Joe successfully worked together to track down a suspect, which was an exciting moment since Jamie previously gave Joe a car that belonged to his late father and Jamie’s brother, Joe Reagan, earlier this season.

The collaboration was even more emotional after Jamie almost lost his wife in the shooting. Fortunately, both Jamie and Eddie were safe and closed the series. Eddie was, though late for family dinner — and everyone noticed.

When she finally arrived, she was carrying a high chair to add to the table. “We’ll use it when the baby is born,” Jamie revealed. Edie confirmed her pregnancy, saying she’s due in June.
