James Kennedy is dealing with a felony domestic violence arrest

Vanderpump Rules personality James Kennedy broke his silence after being arrested for felony domestic violence.

“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made by the Burbank Police Department against James,” attorneys for Kennedy, 32, said in a statement Friday, Dec. 13. “We understand there were no injuries and we hope that after a careful review, city attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”

The news broke on Thursday, December 12 that Kennedy was arrested. According to TMZ, officers were dispatched to the Kennedy home in California on Tuesday, December 10, after receiving a call about an argument between a couple. A witness allegedly saw Kennedy arguing with a woman and grabbed her.

Law enforcement officers, according to TMZ, did not see any visible injuries on the alleged victim. Specific details were not immediately released.

Kennedy was released several hours later after posting $20,000 bail.

Kennedy was a Bravo mainstay Vanderpump Rules for its first 11 seasons. The news broke late last month that the next season it will restart with a new crop of SURvers.

kennedy’s girlfriend Ali Luber, said Us Weekly extremely on Dec. 4 that the British DJ is “grieving and just feeling (his) emotions” following the casting change.

“I was at the airport because I was flying to Hilton Head for Thanksgiving. James was at home and the producers called to say it was great, but time ran out, Luber, 28, recalled us. “It was much better than that. I wasn’t there so I didn’t get to see him, but I’d call and check and he’d say, “I’m fine.” He was just going to the gym and doing his thing, but I could tell he was a little thin. But I think he was reflecting.

She added: “I think he was just like, ‘Wow, that was crazy.’ It was just a crazy part of his life and such an important part of his life. I think he’s so proud – I know he is so proud – of where he is now compared to where he started the show. So, I think it’s just being thankful and looking back and saying, “Gosh…”. We just did that and now we can move on.”

Luber began dating Kennedy in 2022 after breaking up with his ex-fiancée Rachel “Raquel” Lewis. She made her VPR debuted in season 10 and returned for season 11, which aired earlier this year.

Luber, for her part, has not spoken publicly about Kennedy’s arrest. She and Kennedy live together along with his dog Hippiewhom he adopted after Lewis, 29, had to put the pup down after behavioral problems.

“There was no physical altercation,” she recalled, referring to an incident after the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards. “I thought we were having fun. We had fun. But afterwards James and I had an argument, but there was no physical attack. I wasn’t bleeding and they didn’t have to get out of the car and separate us. So that didn’t happen. That’s all I’ll say about it.”
