Taylor Swiftthe most important fashion critic? Her fans, of course.

When the “Karma” crooner stopped by Children’s Mercy Hospital of Kansas City on Thursday, December 12, surprising patients, staff and their families, she looked just as gracious as they did after a young fan complimented her on her clothes.

“Thank you for saying my outfit (is) tea. You made my day,” she politely told one fan named Naya, who in turn was wearing a pink “What Goes Around…Comes Around” T-shirt and a stack of friendship bracelets.

After they took pictures together and presented Naya with a signed copy of her commemorative plaque Eras Tour Bookthe Grammy winner left her with what might be the best Swiftie Christmas present yet: a TikTok cameo to her song “Bad Blood,” which Swift recorded right there in the hospital.

Taylor Swift reached out to sick kids at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City over bosses and, of course, her boyfriend Travis Kelce. “I like Travis now,” one child told Swift, 35, during a stop at the hospital on Thursday, Dec. 12, according to a fan video shared via X. Swift didn’t miss a beat (…)

“Boy there is no way I (just) woke up and tripped over Taylor Swift,” the fan wrote video. In the clip, Swift, 34, rips open the curtain in the patient’s hospital room before storming into her iconic Eras Tour mainstay, a move that can be traced back to the hit anthem’s music video.

Swift’s look was a far cry from the sparkly pink bralette and beaded Roberto Cavalli skirt she wore on stage during the record-breaking tour, which wrapped up Dec. 8 in Vancouver.

Instead, she continued her plaid line with a Miu Miu tartan button-down shirt and pleated skirt, paired with black opaque tights and her signature sequin-less Christian Louboutin knee-high boots. To complete the look, she slipped on her favorite Pat McGrath matte red lipstick.

While the ensemble was tame by Eras Tour standards, it was, as a fan put it, very “tea” — and very T. Swift. Checkers are a fixture of her Chiefs game day outfits that included a Versace skirt suit and Vivienne Westwood dress for recent matches. As she debuted her loud luxury era with a Louis Vuitton watch and Gucci loafers, Swift donned a Carolina Herrera plaid coat.

Swift will enter a new era when she celebrates her 35th birthday on Friday, December 13. Only time will tell what next year brings sartorially speaking, but it’s clear she wanted to kick things off by spreading some cheer and serving up some festival holiday style inspiration along the way.
