Retired football star Randy Moss struggles alone with undisclosed medical problem.

“Me, my wife and my family, we’re struggling with something inside,” Moss, 47, said during the Sunday, Dec. 1, ESPN broadcast Sunday NFL Countdown. “You know, I have great doctors around me. I couldn’t miss the show, I wanted to be here with you guys.”

He added, “I feel great, but if you see me with these Michigan Turnover glasses on, that’s no disrespect because I’m on TV. I am struggling with something (and) I need all the prayer warriors. God bless you and thank you for the prayers.”

All from Moss Sunday NFL Countdown the co-hosts subsequently donned their own reading glasses in solidarity.

Moments before ESPN’s broadcast went live, Moss shared a behind-the-scenes video with his own Instagram.

“I just wanted to give you a little message,” he began. “This is a message for all men. I’m sitting here on stage… and all through the holiday week your boy has been struggling with something inside.

Moss also asked “prayer warriors” to “place their blessing hands” on him and his family “during these difficult times.”

“People have spoken for my eyes last week and you know I’m here,” Moss added. “It’s an internal thing. Your boy will survive it. I have a great team of doctors and a great family around me.

Fellow athletes Adam Schefter, Darius Butler and Charissa Thompson everyone shared their good wishes in the comment section.

“Sending you a big hug and 🙏🏽,” Thompson, 42, replied.

Randy, who does not disclose his status, is married to Lydia Moss. He is also the father of four children from a previous relationship and has previously been outspoken about their support.

“I think when you look at, at the end of the day, the the definition of familyI think it’s something more that I’ve always wanted,” Randy said in a September 2020 episode. Russell Wilson“DangerTalk” podcast on. “It’s more of us just being able to love and love our family for who they are.”

He added: “The game of football has brought so many smiles to the faces of my family and friends. The best advice I can give right now is just to be able to enjoy your family while they’re here and just love them for who they are.”
