Malibu wildfire forces Jane Seymour to evacuate as flames burn ‘extremely close’ to star’s home


Jane Seymour managed to get out of the line of fire.

The 73-year-old actress posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram on Wednesday, with firefighters working to extinguish a wildfire. Another photo showed how close the fire came to her home.

“While the Franklin Fire in Malibu continues to burn and has come extremely close to our home, we remain evacuated and safe,” she wrote in the caption. “We are deeply grateful for the incredible firefighters and incredible group of Malibu volunteer firefighters who risk everything to protect our homes and our community.”

She further told her followers to let the fire “remind us of the strength, courage, resilience and compassion that bind us together in the most difficult of times,” while encouraging everyone to “continue to support and uplift each other.” like we always do.”

Fans quickly flooded the comments section with well wishes and positive thoughts.

“It’s so close. So glad you are (sic) safe and sound,” one follower wrote.

“Thank God you and your family are safe. My thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone affected by the fire,” another fan wrote in part.

Franklin Fire burns near building

According to Fox 11, the Franklin Fire started Monday around 10:50 p.m. north of Pepperdine University and has grown to more than 10,000 acres. The fire was 7% under control on Wednesday afternoon.

Many other celebrities who call Malibu home have also been forced to evacuate, including Dick Van Dyke and Mira Sorvino. Van Dyke and Sorvino also informed their fans about their safety.

“Arlene and I evacuated safely with our animals, except Bobo escaped as we were leaving.” Van Dyke wrote in a Facebook post shared on Tuesday. “We pray that he is well and that our community at Serra Retreat will survive these terrible fires.”

He later posted a video of his cat Bobo, writing, “I hope Bobo is doing well.”
