Concern began to build for Randy, 47, after Larry Fitzgerald Sr.The former NFL star’s father Larry Fitzgeraldposted via X on Tuesday, December 10 that Randy “has liver cancer.”
“Let’s show the power of prayer and pull Moss through this 🙏🙏🙏,” wrote Larry Sr. “I love you Randy.”
ESPN announced Friday, December 6 that Randy will retire from the network NFL Sunday Countdown “For an extended time to focus on the challenge of personal health.”
However, Thaddeus did not take kindly to Larry Sr., posting about his father without the family’s consent.
“That is disgusting,” Thaddeus replied through x on Tuesday. “You have no right to try to publicize private matters in the name of engagement. I don’t believe my father is talking to you, so check your sources. “

Former NFL linebacker Brett Favrewho briefly played alongside Randy on the Minnesota Vikings, posted via X, “I just heard the news that Randy Moss has liver cancer. Prayers to him and his family. “
Thaddeus replied: “Brett, the support is really appreciated. This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready. “
Brett edited his post and deleted the line about Randy having cancer.
While Larry Sr. did not directly respond to Thaddeus, he presented a message that seemed to acknowledge his original message about Randy was wrong.
“If I’m being 100% honest, I’d appreciate prayers,” said a repost via X. “Prayers should count for me whether they have the correct diagnosis or not.”

“Me and my wife and my family, we’re struggling with something inside,” Randy said on the Dec. 1 broadcast. “You know, I have some great doctors around me. I couldn’t miss the show, I wanted to be here with you guys. “
