Mary Brown admitted she doesn’t “understand a lot of the stuff” coming out of her ex-husband Cody Brownmouth of – including his comments about her future wedding.
During the November 24 episode of Sister wivesCody, 55, helped Mary, 53, to move out of her home in Arizona and in its place in Utah. After crying about the “end of an era” between them, Cody promised Mary that if she remarried, he “wouldn’t be weird.”
However, he quickly went back on his promise when he revealed that he had done so big plans for Mary’s next weddings. “I can walk her to the aisle,” Cody stated, which surprised Mary.
Mary looked back at the moment on Tuesday, December 10, exclusively telling Us Weekly that she is still stunned by Cody’s comments. “He (said that) and I also said, ‘Yeah, no.'” I might have added an expletive, but yeah, no. That’s not happening at all,” she said of Cody’s idea. “It just doesn’t make sense.”

“I joked with him and said, ‘Hey, the only reason you want to send me down the aisle is just to make sure I get rid of me.’ Please take her, take her. I don’t want her back,” she added with a laugh.
Mary and Cody tied the knot in 1990. Three years later they added a sister wife Janelle Brown and in 1994 Christine Brown joined the family. Mary and Cody hit a setback in their relationship after he legally divorced her in 2014 to legally marry his fourth wife Robin Brown and to adopt her children from a previous relationship.
Although Mary and Cody stayed spiritually married for another nearly 10 years, they never returned to their old dynamics. After Kristin, 53, and Janelle, 55, announced their splits from Cody in 2021 respectively. and 2022, Mary confirmed in January 2023 that she and Cody had given up as well.
Despite the rocky end of their relationship, Mary, who shares a child Leon with her ex-husband, she said us she is open to finding love again. But she ended polygamy.
Mary said she would “definitely” hook up again, but is only looking for monogamous relationships. “I just think that having someone who’s committed to me and who I’m committed to, who I can share my life with and my experiences with, is a pretty cool thing,” she said.
After her breakup with Cody, Mary dated Amos. The couple started seeing each other in October 2023, but left it in February.
“Last week I had to face some hard truths and have some hard conversations. Just because I’m into someone and they’re into me doesn’t equal full compatibility for a long-term relationship,” she revealed via social media at the time. “When we have different dreams and aspirations, different communication styles and values, different visions for our future, and these things don’t match, then we have to make difficult decisions.”
Mary noted, “It’s only in the dating process that you come to these realizations, that’s what life and dating are all about. When the time comes for me, I will dip my toes into this process again.
The reality star has kept his dating life a secret in the coming months, but I said us on Tuesday that she is “dating” but not seeing anyone exclusively. Mary recalled the “interesting” ups and downs of post-divorce dating, recalling one mishap that wasn’t “quite a disaster” but didn’t end well.

“There are more disastrous conversations that don’t even lead to a date,” she explained, pointing to a time when one man’s girlfriend “reached out to me and was like, ‘Ah.’ I’m like, “No, you can take them. (I) didn’t know.’
Mary was annoyed that “people are weird,” noting that he doesn’t “understand why people can’t be honest and open” in relationships. Her fame has become another dating roadblock, with some people believing she has a ‘fake profile’ or looking for their ‘five minutes of fame’.
However, setbacks did not stop Mary. “You have to live through it all,” she concluded.
