During a screening for Kelly’s film Taurusdirector Tim Sutton talked about the couple’s wedding plans. “(Machine Gun Kelly is) supposed to be more of a Bridezilla than she is because she’s been through it before,” he exclusively said us. “I made it my space to do dramatic work with them, to answer questions, to be there if they needed it, but to give them their space.”
The actor was also open about how making the film has helped him in his personal life.
“Because of the way I grew up, I kind of push away anyone and every situation that has a positive outcome because I just see myself as unworthy, low or undeserving, and that’s been enforced since childhood. I’m learning a lot more about my childhood now and why I was made that way,” Kelly revealed during a panel. “I have a real problem with accepting happiness, and it’s healthy to watch it on the screen to remind yourself like, ‘Okay, yeah, you don’t want to end up like that guy.'” I always have a weird way of writing things down on paper that come true. “
Foxx, who was on stage at the time, supported her fiancé, saying, “You can’t receive the gifts that God is trying to give you if your hands are closed. You have to open your arms.”
In his Hulu documentary, Life in pinkKelly revealed he contemplated suicide two years ago – and called Fox at his darkest moment. “I was like, ‘You’re not here for me.’ I’m in my room and I’m like going crazy on her,” he recalls in the film. “Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth. And I’m yelling on the phone and it’s like the barrel is in my mouth. And I go to pick up the rifle and the bullet as it goes back, the case just jams. Megan seems dead silent.
After the incident, Kelly’s daughter, Casey, and Fox teamed up to tell him that something had to change. “(They said), ‘I want to like you, see you as my father,’ and ‘I want to see you as my future husband,’ and I was like, ‘This time, I have to really give up drugs,'” he explained the musician.
