“I was crushed about it,” Cameron, 31, said Page six on Friday, December 6, at the Celsius Padel Classic held at the Wayne Boich Padel Club in Miami, Florida. “So I paid the price for that, I learned my lesson,” Cameron told the publication. “Some jokes should be kept inside.”
Last month, Cameron shared a screenshot of a text conversation between the pair via Instagram, which showed Madden scolding her friend after he got ice cream without her. He wrote in the caption: “Don’t go on a sweet run without your girlfriend…lesson learned.”

In the text chain, he asked Madden, “Now you mad again?” to which she replied, “I just don’t understand why anything fun that you do, you don’t want to do with me. We’ll go to the river. Have a nice night.” He replied, “We’re getting ice cream, are you kidding me? Is this a funny moment?’
Cameron told Page Six on Friday that he was able to get to Madden in “a lot of ways,” including “A lot of ice cream trips.”

He continued, “So it’s like I’m just taking that leap of faith is that I want to be in a position financially that if I have kids, I’ll never have that fear, that worry, because I just know what that did.” In the end, my parents did an amazing job and still got through it all, but I never want anyone to go through what we went through.
Madden, for his part, noted that Cameron is trying to “build something that has longevity” as their relationship continues.
“I think right now, we’re just doubling down and just working as hard as we can to get to that place, so then when we hope to have kids one day, God willing, he can also be the father that wants to be,” she said at the time. “Never miss a game, be a coach, do all the things. Which I think right now, doing what we’re doing is going to get us to where you can have financial stability as well.
