South Africa National Cricket Team wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne has produced a terrific effort behind the stumps in the ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams takes place at St George’s Park in Gqeberha.
The South African National Cricket Team is currently at the top of their game. They have dominated the opposition with bat and ball and are cruising to victory in the second game of the series, having dominated the first match of the series.

The South African bowlers have put on a show with the ball, but they have the same support from the bowlers. One of the attempts came from Kyle Verreynne to remove Sri Lanka National Cricket Team’s leading batsman Kamindu Mendis off a delivery from Keshav Maharaj.
Keshav Maharaj bowled a tossed ball outside off. The ball hit the legs and came back with a bounce as Kamindu Mendis went through defensively. He got a thick inside edge on the pad, and then the ball opened up and it looked like the ball would land safely.
However, Kyle Verreynne reflected on the magical effort behind the stumps. He took the sharp catch to send the Sri Lankan National Cricket Team into bat. He, along with the entire South African National Cricket Team, were crushed.

With his wicket, Sri Lanka National Cricket Team lost half of their squad. Kamindu Mendis played a decent hand for his team as he finished with 35 runs off 35 balls. He also hit 4 fours and 1 six in his innings, and with his scalp, the visitors were left reeling at 122/5.

The onus is now on skipper Dandanjaya de Silva and Kushal Mendis to take their team home. The duo have been batting well, and if they keep batting the way they are, it won’t be a surprise if they keep chasing the target, which is 150 runs at the time of writing.
