Carson Beck left the SEC title game Saturday after what Kirby Smart said was a hand injury.
With one second left in the first half, Beck wanted to throw deep Try to get Georgia their first lead of the match.
However, he was hit as he threw, and his arm appeared to stop hard.

Beck was quickly attended to by trainers and coaches, and he slowly got out. He ran off the field under his own power, but it was clear something was wrong.
Speaking to ESPN just as the half was over, Smart said the injury probably wouldn’t have been enough to keep him out of the game – unfortunately, Georgia is now rocking Gunner Stockton. Smart then told ESPN early in the half that Beck would not be able to return.

With Beck under center, it wasn’t a pretty sight for the Bulldogs, who managed just one field goal in the first half.
But on the other side: Texas’ offense, led by Quinn Ewersdidn’t do much better: they put two balls through the goal posts and it was a 6-3 lead for the Longhorns at halftime.
With a loss, it would be the first time Georgia has lost three games since the 2018 season — this year marked the first time they lost to anyone other than Alabama since 2020, when they lost to Ole Miss in Oxford.

Beck will be an early selection in the NFL Draft in April.
