(Photo by Getty)Duck Dynastyis Phil Robertson is in the “early stages” of Alzheimer’s, his family confirmed.
Son of Phil Jase Robertson shared her father’s, 78, health update via the Friday, Dec. 6 episode of the podcast, “Shameless with the Robertsons”.
“According to the doctors, they’re pretty sure he has some sort of blood disorder that’s causing all kinds of problems,” Jace, 55, explained on the podcast. “It’s speeding up and causing problems with his whole body.”
Jace added that the diagnosis has been difficult for his father both mentally and physically, sharing: “He’s just not doing well. He’s really fighting.”
In addition, Phil’s health was also deteriorating due to an ongoing blood disorder, Jace said.
Phil didn’t appear on the podcast episode due to his health making it difficult, even though the reality star wished he could.
“He keeps saying, ‘I’ll get back to the podcast,'” Jace said. “But I’m like, ‘Okay, Phil, you can barely walk without screaming in pain, and your memory isn’t what it used to be.’ He’s like, ‘Tell me about it.’ So he’s literally unable to — I think he’ll agree — just sit down and talk.”

He also revealed in 2020 that he has a daughter, Phyllis Thomas49, who was born after an affair that happened 45 years ago.
In the podcast, Jace said the family is rallying around Phil as they help him fight the terminal illness.
“We’re trying to do a lot of things to figure out how to make him more comfortable and maybe help with his memory,” he said. “We have a team of doctors and they all agree that there is no cure for what he has. So what do you do? We’re trying to make it a little more convenient.
Jace previously spoke about his love for his family in 2020. after that discovers he has a sister which he did not know about.
He shared that because of this he was determined to meet Phyllis and be friendly.
“I fight with my family a lot, but I got them back,” Jace explained in a May 2020 episode. on his Unashamed podcast. “I love them. I’m there for them. So I had already made that decision. I was willing to go either way. I was going to love her no matter what. But I was like, “I really like her,” which is great
