Coach Taylor has pointed the team in the right direction and I can’t wait to work with him, the staff and the best, smartest and strongest football players in the world.”
Luck retired from the NFL before the start of the 2019 season and left the Colts abandoned and looking for a replacement. He cited numerous injuries he suffered as the reason he resigned at just 29 years old.
He faded into the background and was barely heard or seen, aside from a few appearances at national championships or on the Cardinal sidelines.
Now, Luck will work with Taylor to strengthen the roster and collaborate with the athletic department and university leadership on fundraising, alumni relations, sponsorships, student-athlete support and stadium experience.
