Historical naivety

They feel that Crawford does not know the greats of the past, so he thinks naively a victory over Canelo is only enough to put him in front of the fighters who did much more in their career. The adults of the past have not only had two good names in their resumes, as Crawford does.

They had a record full of terrible talent. You cannot blame Terence of not knowing the big fighters of the past. Crawford is not the only active fighter who does not know the history of the sport.

In an interview with Manouk akopyanCrawford (41-0, 31 kos) pointed out that there would be essentially three weight classes when challenges of Canelo (62-2-2, 39 kos) for what it predicts will be the undisputed Super Middleweight Championship on September 13.

It would be striking if Crawford had to beat Canelo to become an undisputed three -trends champion. Still, it would be difficult to place it especially because of its limited resume.

Compared to the fighters of the past, who fought excellent opposition throughout their career, the Terence record is almost completely barren by the opposition. He has a victory over Errol Spence, but nothing else in his resume would suggest that he belongs to the top 3 or the top 50 lbs of all-time.

Top fighters from the past

Sugar Ray Robinson
Mohammed Ali
Oscar de la Hoya
Roberto Durán
Henry Armstrong
Willie Pep
Pernell Whitaker
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Manny pacquiao
Roy Jones Jr.
Ray leonard sugar
Julio César Chávez
John Johnson
Jack Debsey
Ezzard Charles
Archie moore
Sandy seat
Ricardo Lopaz
Carlos
Bernard Hopkins

This is a small list of fighters who have written better files than Crawford. Even if Terence does Canelo’s best on September 13, it would be crazy to put him over these fighters.

Illusions or reality?

It is okay for a fighter to have confidence, but when their appreciation for themselves goes to the sea, they meet so sad, misleading and by contact with reality. Crawford’s inflated sense of his achievements has been for years.

So it’s not just a new thing. He has been rated steadily at the top, and no one has paid attention to him so far because he had never struggled with a significant opposition.

At this point, Alvarez is widely believed to have lost his ambition and only fights for money. Crawford is on the same boat. It doesn’t even get the dangers. It seems to have focused on getting the biggest payday it can without fighting with the most terrible candidates. Canelo is the biggest payday for the nibraska local.

Canelo holds three zones today, but he is favorite to get the last zone left against IBF 168-LB champion William Scull on May 3. Crawford fought only once in 154 after moving from 147 last August. So it’s hard to call him a Junior Middleweight, because it’s the experience in this weight category is limited to the match against Israil Madrimov.

Crawford did not want to get a warm -up in 168 before it caused a Canelo for its zones in September, but it could have. It was his choice and chose to sit down and wait.
