Senator Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., was denounced by members of his own party and liberal media commentators after he voted to support a Republican expenditure law to prevent a closure of the government.

“I think again this was a fight that had to happen, and it did not happen because of Chuck Schumer. If you think about it, Republicans would have had that government closure. They have control over everything, and it would have been square on their backs, and I am not only in this opinion,” ABC’s “the view” Co-host Sunny said Monday.

Schumer voted with Republicans to accept a continuous resolution (CR) and to give a closure on Friday was a “gift” for President Donald Trump.

Fellow employees Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed with Schumer, and claimed that the senator made the right decision and debated about their fellow hosts about why a closure would have been worse.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, told CNN on Sunday That Schumer’s argument for avoiding a government closure was “absolutely wrong”.

Senators voted 54-46 to take the stopgap expenses account, which only needed 51 votes to be approved. Almost all Republicans supported the measure; Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., And most Democrats, however, resist it. Sen.
