Senator Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., was denounced by members of his own party and liberal media commentators after he voted to support a Republican expenditure law to prevent a closure of the government.
“I think again this was a fight that had to happen, and it did not happen because of Chuck Schumer. If you think about it, Republicans would have had that government closure. They have control over everything, and it would have been square on their backs, and I am not only in this opinion,” ABC’s “the view” Co-host Sunny said Monday.
Schumer voted with Republicans to accept a continuous resolution (CR) and to give a closure on Friday was a “gift” for President Donald Trump.
Fellow employees Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin agreed with Schumer, and claimed that the senator made the right decision and debated about their fellow hosts about why a closure would have been worse.

Talk to the senator directly during his performance on Tuesday about “The View”, Hostin accused Schumer of “collapsed” To Republicans. “It doesn’t give me pleasure to say this to you, because we are friends, but I think you have set,” Hostin told Schumer. “I think you and nine other Democrats have been set.”
Griffin asked him later, “Do you believe that the party has faith in you to continue to serve as a leader? And if someone who influenced Biden’s decision to step aside, do you think it can also be time for you?”
Schumer insisted that he would not resign and the Democrats would continue to lead and reject concerns of members of his own party.
During a Tuesday interview on “CBS Mornings”, Co-Gastheer Gayle King told Schumer That members of his own party do not trust his leadership and say, “It’s time for you to be.”
Former Washington Post -Columnist Jennifer Rubin compared Schumer to former President Biden During a weekend interview on MSNBC, suggesting that he had to get away.
“Let me be blunt. President Biden stayed around for too long and we have Donald Trump. If Chuck Schumer stays, democracy may have disappeared. It is not only that they have to have a conversation within the caucus. Chuck Schumer must go, ” She told MSNBC -Gastheer Jonathan Capehart On Sunday.
“He is the wrong man at the wrong time. He gave an interview with the New York Times that was even worse than you imagined. He was destroying. He was grumpy. He insisted that he had done the right one. He recovered a rationalization for the closure that was completely fake,” said Rubin.

Following Schumer’s promise to vote for the CR, other democratic legislators, including Ocasio-Cortez, also fragmented it for it. Ocasio-Cortez told Anchor Jake Tapper on Thursday that Schumer’s movement was ‘a great mistake’.
“And so it is almost unthinkable for me why the Senate Democrats would vote to hand over the few pieces of leverage that we have left for free, when we have been sent here to protect social security, to protect Medicaid and protect Medicare,” she added.
Schumer rejected the possibility From a primary challenge of the progressive legislator during an interview with The New York Times after his voice to prevent a closure.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, told CNN on Sunday That Schumer’s argument for avoiding a government closure was “absolutely wrong”.
When asked whether the Senate Democrats Schumer should replace, Crockett replied: “I think Senate Democrats should sit down and take a look and decide whether or not Chuck Schumer is leading at the moment.”
Former house speaker Nancy Pelosi also criticized Schumer’s decision.
“Let’s be clear: neither is a good option for the American people. But this false choice that some people buy instead of fighting is unacceptable,” she said.

Senators voted 54-46 to take the stopgap expenses account, which only needed 51 votes to be approved. Almost all Republicans supported the measure; Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., And most Democrats, however, resist it. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, DN.H., Independent Senator Angus King van Maine, who Caucuses with the Democrats, also voted to take the bill.
