Conservative legislators in Illinois sound alarm about a bill that can change drastically HomeSchooling -Rules In the prairie state.
The Homschool Act, also known as HB2827, would oblige HomeSchooling -parents To fill in a “home school statement form” that would essentially register them in their nearest public school district.
The children of parents who do not fill in the form are considered “Trijblig, with sanctions that apply”, according to the synopsis of the account. It also requires documentation of immunisations and health studies for children who want to participate in public school activities.
“(If a) child in a home school program tries to register part -time in a public school or participate in public school activities that take place on or outside of school grounds, the home school manager must submit the proof that the child has received all required immunisations and health investigations or a signed certificate of religious exemption,” says the text.

The bill “also proposes requirements for home school managers and programs and reporting requirements.”
“(The bill) makes conforms and other changes in the Freedom of Information Act, the School Code and the Illinois School Student Records Act, including require (instead of) non -public schools to register with the State Board of Education,” concludes the synopsis.
The Illinois State Board of Education’s Education Policy Committee evaluates the bill on Wednesday – but opposing legislators have encouraged voters to submit witness briefs in an attempt to stop further progress on the bill. Senator Neil Anderson of the state of Illinois said on Facebook that 30,000 witness slips were submitted.

Chris Miller, a Republican representative in the Illinois House of Representatives, also drawn attention to the account in a Facebook message.
“HB2827 is planned for the House Education Policy Committee Tomorrow,” wrote Miller. “As a father of 7 home schooled children, I think this bill is a direct attack on families in Illinois!”
Some left -wing politicians have also expressed concern about HB2827. State representative of Illinois La Shawn Ford, a Democrat, told the local exhaust valve the middle square that he is ‘not before’.

“From the voters I received phone calls, I understand why they don’t like it,” says Ford. “The loss of their autonomy, that is a great concern that they lose autonomy about their children, that’s why they opt for home schooling. They want to have control over the training of their children, including the curriculum, how they teach and philosophy.”
