Chris Wood says he wants to play New Zealand for a time before he retired.
Nottingham Forest striker had his life time, scoring 18 Premier League goals to help direct the forest to the Champions League football.
The 33 -year -old is a contract on the territory of the city by 2027, but he has long -term plans to return to his nation at his home with English wife Emma.
“I have talked to my wife about this, where we will definitely return and live in New Zealand and be part of New Zealand for a year because I want to experience back home,” the 33 -year -old told New Zealand News Material.

“There are a lot more I want to succeed in football.
New Zealand has two professional clubs competing in the main Australian A-League-Wellington Phoenix and the Auckland FC high-flight expansion team.
With 41 goals in 80 appearances for New Zealand, the country’s most productive scorer would probably be welcome in both.
“I love the two cities very much,” he said.
“100% I will sit on this fence and they are football at the end of the day.
