Exclusive: Vice President JD Vance will serve as the Republican National Commission Financial chairman, who says FOX News Digital that he will work with the party to “fully introduce the Maga mandate” and will grow the Republican majority in the congress in 2026.
The RNC Executive Committee voted unanimously to confirm VANCE in the role, an RNC officer told FOX News Digital. This is the first time in the history of the Gop that a sitting vice president will play in the role.

An RNC officer told Fox News Digital that Vance is “unprecedented” as a financial chair and shows “how much the White House and the RNC are this cycle in Lockstep.”

“Everyone is laser -oriented to grow our majorities in 2026, and we are going to be aggressive fundraising to be ready for next year.”
Vance, in a statement to FOX News Digital, thought about “Trump’s historical election victory, took the White House back and help the Republicans regain control of the Senate and retain control of the house.”
“But in 2026 we must keep our Republican majorities in order to fully execute the Maga Mandate and the Vision of President Trump that demanded the voters, said Vance.

“I am delighted to work with chairman Whatley and the RNC leadership to build the war box we need to achieve those victories in November,” Vans added.
“JD will do fantastic work as RNC Finance Chair,” said President Trump in a statement to Fox News Digital. “He knows how to fight and win tough races.”
The president added: “I am happy that he will work with Michael Whatley to help us secure our elections, get the mood and win great next year!”

“Vice -President VANCE is not only one of the most talented messengers of our party, he is also a thinker who helped De Gop in the party working Americans who represent the forgotten men and women of our country,” wrote Whatley. “I am constantly grateful to President Trump for the leadership and the direction he offers the party and that I am honored to work with vice -president VANCE to grow our party and to ensure that President Trump has the voices in the congress to make America big again.”
Vance is the successor to outgoing national financial chairman Richard “Duke” Buchan III. Trump appointed Buchan to serve as an ambassador in Morocco.
Whatley thanked Buchan for his “huge service” to the RNC and De Gop and for his “support for President Trump”.
“His efforts were an essential contribution to our success in 2024,” said Whatley.
