The Ivy League University added that students of families would be eligible for $ 100,000 or less per year for free housing, food and health services, in addition to tuition fees that are covered by the school.

“We know that paying for the university is a great concern for many families, and we are committed to making a Harvard training – and the opportunities that goes with it – possibly for more students than ever.”
Senator Bernie Sanders, I-VT., Commented on the announcement and said that more schools should follow Harvard’s move.
“10 years ago, when I introduced a bill to free up public colleges and universities, it was called ‘radical’. Not today.
“Now we have to expand that idea to all public colleges and universities.”
The extensive program would enable around 86% of families in the United States to qualify for the financial help of Harvard College, announced the school, adding that it “her dedication to offer every admitted non -grown -up student the resources they need to register and graduate.”

Harvard added that it has awarded more than $ 3.6 billion to non -graduated financial aid since the launch of the Harvard Financial Aid Initiative in 2004.
