Veteran Democratic Strategist James Carville predicts others within his party will follow California Gavin Newsom government By pronouncing transgender athletes who participate in women’s sports.
Earlier this month, Newsom made the headlines about his pivot to object to biological men who participate in women’s sports and called it “deeply unfair” in a podcast conversation with founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk.
“I think that is an opinion that most Americans have,” Carville responded in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“I am not that big in the state prack meeting, but athletic managers can find this out,” he went on. “It is not a big problem for me, and we have accepted a lot of water for something that we would not go (address).”

A poll by the New York Times in January showed that Almost 80% of Americans Suppose biological men in women’s sports, including no less than 67% of the Democrats.
Carville sounded the alarm about the unpopular attitude that democratic officials embraced about the issue.
“If you think the problem is so important, then you have to convince people,” said Carville. “They tell people that we are courageous and have to be. Why don’t you change public opinion and you win an election, and then you might reach your goal? But at the moment the audience doesn’t want it. And you ask Democrats to do this. And everything you do – they are not going to change in the short term. And everything you do is help the opposition.”

Although it is a rare issue of 80-20 for Americans, Democrats continue to argue for the unpopular view. Earlier this month, Senate Democrats blocked a bill That would forbid transgender athletes to participate in women’s sports.
But Carville didn’t think his party was wrong by blocking the bill.

“I think this is a matter of athletic associations,” said Carville. “The Governor of Utah, Oké, Governor Cox – She gave him an anti-trans sports account. And he said: ‘Look, I have 100,000 high school athletes in the state of Utah. I have four who are trans. This is not my problem. “Someone said that 50,000 female athletes in the NCAA and maybe six (his transgender). Let the NCAA sort it out. That is no problem with the state legislator. Let the Olympic Games deal with it. ”
“I used to ran track. So I see the NCAA track -meeting. I never think about it! It doesn’t come up with me. I don’t think there should be a legislative solution for this … That is not a legislative problem.
