Liverpool B Newcastle

Newcastle has created the best chances throughout the first half, Sandro Tonali bends a wide -out attempt from the right position and header of Bruno Guimaraes from the near distance too soft to face Caoimhín Kelleher.

Liverpool had a call for a penalty that ran away from referee John Brooks and was cleared by Var after the Kieran Trippier who handled the area under pressure by Luis Diaz. Trippier’s hand was stretched, but VAR thought he used it for balance.

Shortly afterwards, Newcastle won the first half worth the first half when Burn, a consistent threat of 45 -minute opening corners, supplied Trippier’s deep tradition in the lower left corner with an excellent header, the first Magpies goal on Wembley for 25 years.

Newcastle believed they had a second six minutes in the second half, when ISAK caused a home, after Kelleher kept Burn’s effort after a corner, only for the lines that they considered guimaraes had intervened in the game from an offside position.

But just a minute later Isak had his goal, creating a cultivated first finish from Jacob Murphy’s knockdown to leave Liverpool with a mountain to climb.

Arne Slot responded by throwing Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez and Jones almost half the deficit, his vicious effort overturned by Nick Pope.

But Kelleher made an even greater heroic at the other end to deny Isak a support after Harvey Barnes had done great to pull the ball back for Sweden Striker.

Barnes and Murphy saw that further opportunities were praised and, as the clock occurred in half the eight minutes of the time of injury, Federico Chiesa threw the Newcastle Offside trap and fell calmly beyond the Pope to give Liverpool hope to force extra time.

However, there was no remarkable return from the potential Premier League champions, as Newcastle saw the remaining six minutes of the game to push the misleading scenes as they celebrated their huge waiting.
