Alexander Isak says he can achieve his career goals at Newcastle, but he was unclear when he was asked to discuss his future plans.
Sweden has evolved into one of the top strikers in the Premier League since it has moved to Tyneside from Real Sociedad in 2022, scoring 50 goals in just 77 top -notchs.
This record has led to a speculation that connects him to Arsenal and Liverpool, who meets the Sunday’s EFL Cup final.
The 25 -year -old has a contract until 2028 at St James’ Park and asked today’s long -term ambitions, he said: “That’s why I came here. I have said many times that I don’t really think too much about my future.
“I have said many times that I am happy here and we are fighting for titles that are what you want as a footballer. We were in a final and now we are in another.
“The odds are there. We need to see it one season at a time, and this season we can win a trophy. I have said many times that I am focused on doing work. All our focus is on Sunday and bringing a trophy back.”

He added: “I just want to be the best version of myself. I have great ambitions. I try to create my own story in Newcastle. I am happy with what I have done so far but I am always looking forward.
“It’s hard work and training and the mentality of wanting to improve. I have ambitions to succeed in my career and be the best version of myself.”
ISAK is fully suitable to face Liverpool
ISAK lost the recent Liverpool Championship-a Newcastle match lost 2-0 to Anfield-but has played the last two games, a defeat of the FA Cup in Brighton and The Premier League win of Monday 1-0 at West Ham.
And insists that he is fully suitable for traveling to Wembley.
“I haven’t been injured. I had just a little fatigue. (The media coverage) was dramatic,” he said.
“I feel good. I’m really excited about the game. The best way to prepare is to train normally. It will end up with what we do as a team, and that is all we can focus on. I am excited but I focused on work. ”
