A crash with 17 vehicles in Austin, Texas, Let five people dead, including a child and a baby, first say first responds.
The enormous pile with a semi-paved unfolded on Thursday evening along the i-35 in the North Austin area, according to EMS of Austin-Travis County.
The agency said that several people “were attached in their vehicles” after the wreck.
“5 patients (3 adults, 1 child, 1 baby) spoke on scene,” wrote Austin-Travis County EMS on X.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
Of the 12 people who were injured, three of them are children, said civil servants.
The part of I-35 south where the crash took place seemed to be closed early on Friday morning.

“All lanes of N IH 35 SB are closed and will be a few hours. Avoid the area, expect delays and find alternative routes,” wrote Austin police on X.
Austin-Travis County EMS captain Christa Stedman told CBS Austin that “this incident was incredibly chaotic and it was spread over a 10th of a mile.
