Lawyer Kurt Sommer submitted a petition to the State Court in Santa Fe on Tuesday who tried to prevent the medical investigator and the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican.

The petition tries to block the release of the autopsy of the couple and the “death examination” until their death can be filed according to the outlet.

Sommer wrote that as soon as the images have been released “The Bell cannot be unrestrained.”

Sommer argued that the law of the couple is more important than the public interest in the death of the couple. He mentioned Kurt Cobain’s death in his petition and pointed out that a court refused to release the “Death scene” photos.

Sommer had no comments for Fox News Digital.

The Associated Press reported that the Detitioned Gene and Betsy’s discreet lifestyle in Santa Fe.

The deceased “lived an exemplary private life in Santa Fe, New Mexico for more than thirty years and did not show their lifestyle,” said the petition.

The Gene and Betsy estate is represented by Julia Peters, a partner and chief advisor for the investment company of Avalon Trust Co.

According to the petition, Peters was the third choice of Hackman of Estate Representative. According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, Betsy was the first choice of Gene, and his second choice was lawyer Michael G. Sutin. Sutin died in 2019.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department confirmed during a press conference that Betsy probably died on 11 February and Gene probably died a week later.
