Kane deals with Bayern Munich convenience alongside Barcelona and Inter milan


Harry Kane scored one and helped the other, as Bayern Munich completed a convincing overall victory over Bayer Leverkusen tonight with a 2-0 win in Bayarena.

Placing 3-0 from the first leg last week, he needed something special from Xabi Alonso’s men to see them up to the Champions League quarter-finals.

But it never seemed likely as the long side dominated from the beginning.

Kane saw an early voice for a penalty that ran away before Michael Olise shone a shot just wide.

Kane rated the moment to forget Schick

The Captain of England Kane found the target for seven minutes in the second half, however. Leverkusen’s patrik schick lost his kick and Kane did the rest, bringing him under control before shooting Lukas Hradecky.

Schick was flipping his lines at the other end after 68 minutes, directing directly to Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig closely.

And the Czech international was done to pay, four minutes later, a brilliant pass by Kane chose Alphonso Davies and made no mistake with a wonderful finish.

Jamal Musiala hit the post twice late, as Bayern threatened to run riots, but it didn’t matter, as Vincent Kompany’s men relaxed 5-0 in total.

No drama for interfo

Bayern will face Inter milan afterwards after completing the Italian side 4-1 in Feyenoord with a 2-1 win at San Siro.

Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu noted for Inter, the last penalty spot on every side of a Jakub Moder Spot-Kick.

At the early start, Barcelona produced a polished screen to see away Benfica 3-1, 4-1 in the inert.

Raphinha scored twice for Barca with Lamine Yamal adding another.

Nicolas Otamendi had earlier given Benfica brief hope by canceling Raphinha’s opener.
