Dembele brings the level of French giants to the inert

Ousmane Dembele continued his remarkable start by 2025 with another goal, as Paris Saint-Germain first hit the Anfield against Liverpool.

France’s wing began and ended a quick attack after 12 minutes to promote Luis Enrique’s men in front, after the host had dominated the early stages in front of a rough crowd of Mersesides.

Liverpool were completely overwhelmed by the Parc des Princes last week, but somehow appeared with a first foot advantage.

This time the roles were reversed as the PSG led their luck as the side of the house crawls forward.

Arne Slot’s men could have gone in front of the fourth minute. Dominik Szobozslai chose Alexis Mac Allister and his square pass seemed perfect for Mohamed Salah to finish, but the Egyptian shot hit Nuno Mendes and shone over the bar.

Salah then put a shot in a courtyard and Virgil van Dijk saw a header from a cross allister blocking near the line as the pressure continued.

Dembele stuns Anfield as Paris Saint-Germain takes over the lead

From nowhere – as Liverpool did last week – PSG scored.

Dembele drove a quick break from his own half before sliding at Bradley Barcola under the right. Barcola’s cross was pushed beyond Alisson by Ibrahima Konate’s stretched leg and Dmbele was on alert to hit his 21st goal in 2025.

Konate almost immediately modified with a 25 -meter shot that brought a smart, diving stance from Gianluigi Donnarumma before the PSG almost doubled their advantage.

This time it was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who drove the break before slipping to Barcola, but his attempt was drowned by the advanced Alisson.
